Keynote Speaker:
Dan Glickman

Dan GlickmanThe Friedman School Symposium
will kick off with a keynote presentation from former
U.S. Secretary
of Agriculture, Dan Glickman. Mr. Glickman’s experience in Washington gives him a unique background from which to evaluate the current challenges facing industry and policymakers today and in the coming years.

From 1995 until 2001, Glickman served as head of the USDA where he administered farm and conservation programs, modernized food safety and expanded international trade. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 18 years, six of which he was the Chair of the House Agriculture Committee.

In addition to serving as the Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, he serves on various corporate and non-profit boards related to food and nutrition.
